பினாங்கு எல்ஆர்டி மற்றும் விமானநிலைய விரிவாக்க திட்டங்கள் ஒருங்கிணைக்கப்படும் (Penang LRT and Airport Expansion Projects to Be Coordinated)

[[TAMIL]]  ஜார்ஜ் டவுன், ஜனவரி 2 — பினாங்கு முதல்வர் சௌ கோன் யூ கவல், முத்தியாரா லைன் லைட் ரெயில் டிரான்சிட் (எல்ஆர்டி) திட்டத்திற்கும் பினாங்கு சர்வதேச விமானநிலைய (PIA) விரிவாக்கத்திற்கும் ஒரே நேரத்தில் கட்டுமானப் பணிகள் நடைபெற வாய்ப்புள்ளதாக அறிவித்தார். இது நேரத்தை மிச்சப்படுத்தவும் பொதுமக்களுக்கு இடையூறுகளை குறைக்கவும் உதவும் என்று கூறினார்.

எல்ஆர்டி நிலையம் PIA-வின் அருகே, மிட்சுய் அவுட்லெட் மாலின் அருகில் சுமார் 200 மீட்டர் தொலைவில் அமைக்கப்படும். இரண்டு திட்டங்களும் மத்திய அரசின் அதிகாரத்தில் உள்ளதால் மாநில அரசின் அதிகாரம் வரம்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

எல்ஆர்டி திட்டத்தின் முதல் கட்டம், சிலிகான் தீவின் இருந்து கொம்பார் வரை, விரைவில் தொடங்கும். சிவில் மற்றும் கட்டமைப்பு பணிகளுக்கான ஒப்பந்ததாரராக SRS கன்சார்டியம் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ரெயில்வே அமைப்பின் வடிவமைப்பு, கட்டுமானம் மற்றும் பராமரிப்புக்கான முழுமையான ஒப்பந்ததாரரை தேர்வு செய்ய திறந்த டெண்டர் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

திட்டத்திற்கான நிலம் கையகப்படுத்தல் சிக்கல்கள் தீர்க்கப்பட்டு விட்டன. MRT கார்ப்பரேஷனும் போக்குவரத்து அமைச்சும் இணைந்து பணியாற்றி வருகின்றன. சௌ கோன் யூ கவல், விரைவில் போக்குவரத்து அமைச்சையும் புட்ராஜாயாவில் உள்ள கொள்முதல் குழுவையும் சந்திக்க உள்ளார்.

எல்ஆர்டி திட்டத்திற்கான நிலைதிறப்பு விழா ஜனவரி 11-ஆம் தேதி, பிரதமர் டத்தோ ஸ்ரீ அன்வார் இப்ராஹிம் தலைமையில் நடைபெற உள்ளது.

[[ENGLISH]] GEORGE TOWN, Jan 2 — Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow announced that the construction of the Mutiara Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) and the expansion of the Penang International Airport (PIA) may proceed simultaneously to save time and minimize public inconvenience. Discussions between project owners, MRT Corporation (LRT) and Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad (MAHB) (PIA expansion), are ongoing.

An LRT station will be located approximately 200 meters from PIA, near a proposed Mitsui Outlet Mall. Both projects fall under the federal government’s jurisdiction, limiting the state’s authority.

The first phase of the LRT project, from Silicon Island to Komtar, is set to begin soon, with SRS Consortium appointed for civil and structural works. An open tender has been launched to appoint a turnkey contractor for the railway system's design, construction, and maintenance.

Land acquisition issues for the project have been resolved, and coordination meetings with MRT Corporation and the Transport Ministry are ongoing. Chow will meet the Transport Ministry and a procurement committee soon.

The groundbreaking ceremony, officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, is scheduled for January 11.
