It seems that a Foodpanda delivery rider had his motorcycle seized due to expired road tax and insurance. Influencer AisarKhaledd later stepped in to provide him with a new motorcycle.
However, the Malaysian Road Transport Department (JPJ) defended their actions, stating that they couldn't be lenient as the rider's road tax and insurance had been expired for 7 months. They explained that if the period were much shorter, they might have considered leniency, but 7 months was too long to overlook.
JPJ also raised concerns about setting a precedent for leniency, potentially leading to numerous similar requests. They emphasized the importance of road tax and insurance for the safety of all road users.
